SCED to visit Beijing
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Edward Yau, will visit Beijing tomorrow (March 28) and on Thursday (March 29) to meet with officials or representatives of relevant authorities on matters relating to the policy portfolio of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.
Mr Yau will meet with officials of the State Post Bureau and representatives of the China Post Group to seek further collaboration. The Postmaster General, Mr Gordon Leung, will accompany Mr Yau to attend the meeting.
Mr Yau will also meet with officials of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council to discuss matters relating to Hong Kong's participation in and contribution to the Belt and Road Initiative.
Mr Yau will return to Hong Kong in the evening on March 29. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Dr Bernard Chan, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.
