SCED participates in plenary session of APEC Ministerial Meeting in Bali
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, today (October 5) participated in the plenary session of the 25th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting (AMM) in Bali.
Mr So first attended breakout sessions, during which ministers discussed APEC and the evolving regional economic architecture, as well as attaining the Bogor Goals and APEC’s support for a successful 9th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) to be held in Bali, Indonesia in December this year.
After the breakout sessions, Mr So participated in the AMM plenary session to discuss with other ministers on how to achieve sustainable growth with equity and the APEC framework on connectivity.
To exchange views on bilateral trade relations and issues of mutual concern, Mr So also held meetings with other ministers today on the sidelines of the AMM.
In the evening, Mr So met with Hong Kong, China's representatives to the APEC Business Advisory Council.
Mr So will be back in Hong Kong tomorrow (October 6).
