First Belt and Road Joint Conference held

The first Belt and Road Joint Conference was convened in Beijing today (June 12) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council as well as other relevant central ministries to discuss the strategy of Hong Kong's full participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, the work priorities and initiatives to be implemented for the year. The Vice Chairman of the NDRC, Mr Ning Jizhe (second right); the Secretary for Justice, Ms Teresa Cheng, SC (second left); the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Edward Yau (third left); the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Patrick Nip (first left), and other officials from the central ministries and the HKSAR Government attended the meeting.
