Appointments to Board of Ocean Park Corporation announced
The Government announced today (June 30) that the Chief Executive has appointed and re-appointed the following persons to the Board of the Ocean Park Corporation (OPC) for a period of two years from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2019.
"I am grateful to all OPC board members for their hard work in pursuing the development of Ocean Park. I welcome Ms Cheung and Ms Fung joining the Board, on which they will serve with their experience and insight. With board members' devotion and wide-ranging expertise, Ocean Park will continue to grow as a world-class leading marine-themed attraction," the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, said.
"I would also like to express our gratitude to the outgoing members for their invaluable contribution to the Board in the past years. They are Ms Betty Ho Siu-fong, Professor Becky Loo Pui-ying and two official members," he said.
The Permanent Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Treasury) and the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs will no longer serve as OPC board members with effect from July 1, 2017. Such changes will not affect the Government's support and monitoring over Ocean Park.
The OPC is a statutory body established under the Ocean Park Corporation Ordinance to manage Ocean Park as a public recreational and educational park.
