SCED to attend APEC ministerial meeting in Vietnam
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will depart for Hanoi, Vietnam, tomorrow (May 19) to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting to be held on May 20 and 21.
Themed "Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future" this year, the meeting will focus the discussion on promoting sustainable, innovative and inclusive growth; deepening regional economic integration; strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises' competitiveness and innovation in the digital age; and enhancing food security and sustainable agriculture in response to climate change.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong in the evening on Sunday (May 21). During Mr So's absence, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.
