SCED to visit Washington, DC
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will leave Hong Kong tomorrow (October 11) for a visit to Washington, DC, the United States (US) to strengthen trade and economic ties between Hong Kong and the US.
During his visit, Mr So will meet with senior officials of the Department of Commerce to discuss issues relating to trade and economic co-operation between Hong Kong and the US. He will also meet with the US Chamber of Commerce to promote business opportunities in Hong Kong.
Mr So will attend a reception hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Washington, DC, for US government officials, congressional staffers, business community and the Hong Kong community there. He will pay a courtesy call on the Chinese Embassy in the US.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong on October 15.
