SCED speaks on Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2014
Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, on the Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2014 at a media session in the Legislative Council Complex today (January 6):
Reporter: (On the Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2014)
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development: I was saying that this is not asking people to pocket it first and then to consult later. I am saying that this package has gone through a very deliberate process of engaging different stakeholders and everyone has lots to gain under this package. Therefore, we should take profit of what we have already gained so far. Therefore, we should move on instead of just relying on a piece of legislation that has been really outdated. Thank you.
