SCED to visit Singapore and the Philippines
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will visit Singapore and the Philippines on Tuesday (October 4) and Wednesday (October 5) to meet with their trade ministers to discuss the progress of the Hong Kong, China - ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations. The FTA will strengthen economic ties between Hong Kong and ASEAN by facilitating the flow of goods, services and investments.
Mr So will also take the opportunity to update them on Hong Kong's latest developments and promote bilateral exchanges.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong on October 5. The Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development during Mr So's absence.
