SCED to attend Hong Kong-Canada Business Association National Conference
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will depart for Calgary, Canada, tomorrow (June 3) to attend the National Conference of the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association. He will take the opportunity to promote business opportunities presented by Hong Kong to Canadian enterprises.
After arriving in Calgary on June 3 (Calgary time), Mr So will meet with the Chinese Consul-General in Calgary, Mr Wang Xinping. He will then have a meeting with the President and Chief Executive Officer of Calgary Economic Development, Ms Mary Moran. In the evening, he will deliver a keynote speech at the gala dinner of the Hong Kong-Canada Business Association National Conference. He will attend the Association's national board meeting on the following day.
Mr So will return to Hong Kong on June 5. During Mr So's absence, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung, will be the Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development.
