SCED welcomes staging of 55th Orient and Southeast Asian Lions Forum in Hong Kong next year
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, today (December 5) welcomed the Lions Clubs International's decision to host the 55th Orient and Southeast Asian Lions Forum (OSEAL Forum) in Hong Kong from November 10 to 13, 2016.
Speaking at the Hong Kong Reception for the 55th OSEAL Forum in Bangkok, Mr So said he was delighted that Hong Kong has been chosen again to host the forum.
"Its triumphant return reinforces our position as an international convention and exhibition capital in the region. In fact, our excellent hardware and software support makes Hong Kong capable of hosting various large-scale international conferences," he said.
Mr So added that the Hong Kong Tourism Board has been working closely with the Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China, to render full support to facilitate the staging of the forum and tailor-make exciting itineraries for the participants, as well as for their families and friends.
Mr So will attend the closing ceremony of the 54th OSEAL Forum tomorrow (December 6).
