SCED to attend APEC SME Ministerial Meeting in Indonesia
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will depart for Bali, Indonesia, tomorrow (September 6) to attend the 20th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Ministerial Meeting and a Joint Meeting with Ministers Responsible for Women to be held on September 7.
Under the main theme "Enhancing SME Global Competitiveness", APEC ministers will discuss three sub-themes - entrepreneurship development for SMEs; increasing access to finance for SMEs; and empowering SMEs to expand to international markets. Mr So will speak on various initiatives assisting SMEs' access to finance in Hong Kong at the meeting.
Mr So will be back in Hong Kong on Sunday morning (September 8).
