SCED concludes visit to Belgium and France
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, concluded his six-day duty visit to Brussels, Belgium and Paris, France on May 31 (Paris time).
After attending the Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development on May 30 (Paris time), Mr So met with the French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Mr Laurent Fabius and the French Minister of Industrial Recovery, Mr Arnaud Montebourg on May 31 (Paris time) to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
Afterwards, Mr So met with the France-Hong Kong Association and had a gathering with Hong Kong people living in France to learn about the latest business and working environment in the country.
Prior to his departure from Paris, Mr So visited a French electric company specialising in green technologies and innovations conducive to development of a smart city, and share views on how to expand their business operations using Hong Kong as one of their key hubs.
Mr So will be back in Hong Kong tomorrow (June 2).
