SCED to attend APEC Ministerial Meeting in Honolulu
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will depart for Honolulu, Hawaii, tomorrow (November 10) to attend the 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) Ministerial Meeting to be held on November 11.
During the meeting, ministers will discuss how APEC can best contribute to the Doha Development Agenda and review efforts against protectionism. Moreover, they will consider actions to strengthen regional economic integration and expand trade in the Asia-Pacific region. Also on the agenda are promotion of trade and investment in environmental goods and services, as well as advancing regulatory coherence and co-operation.
Mr So will host a reception for Hong Kong business heavyweights and local leaders in Honolulu in the evening.
Mr So will be back in Hong Kong on November 13.
