The Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology, Mr Joseph W P Wong, visited the Yau Tsim Mong District on October 16 to better understand the business environment of different industries in Hong Kong and the views of community leaders on district issues.

Mr Wong first visited tailor shops operated by South Asians, and a fabric shop which had been in business in the district for more than 20 years. He then toured the restaurants and bars at Knutsford Terrace, and the shops in Miramar Shopping Centre.

During the visit, Mr Wong was briefed on the operation of different shops to better understand the business environment of the retail and catering industries.

Mr Wong last stopped at the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kaifong Welfare Association, where he met with Yau Tsim Mong District Council members and representatives of four Area Committees to exchange views on district issues and policy issues related to the Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau.
